As you climb the ranks of the Squad League, you will:
That is great power. And “with great power comes great responsibility,” as the uncle of Peter Parker says in that Spiderman movie. To guarantee mutual trust and collaboration, there are some key rules participants of NSL must follow.
The following ground rules universally apply to all participants of the Squad League, including Nymsters, Nymjas, Shinobis, and all squads.
Adhere to the Nym Code of Conduct
As a Nymster, Nymja, or Shinobi, creating a welcoming environment for everyone starts with you. Adhere to the Nym Code of Conduct.
Don't cheat
The rules of NSL and Nym community activities/contests are designed to keep things fair for everyone and, more importantly, to protect the main resource of the Nym community: the Squad Wealth Fund. Do not break the rules or use any exploit to gain an unfair advantage over other participants, including using multiple accounts to participate in the NSL or any of its activities.
Don't spread FUD
Constructive criticism is part of the DNA of Nym and our community. By sharing your feedback and problems and by proposing solutions, you contribute to our growth as a movement and as a community. But doing so should be done earnestly and in good faith. Spreading FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) is the opposite of this: it is criticism for the sake of criticism, and usually done indiscriminately and without offering solutions. This has a detrimental effect on community spirit and hinders productive collaboration. All criticism is welcome as long as it’s productive. This requires an individual effort, responsibility, and dedication to Nym’s core mission to bring privacy to everyone everywhere.
Depending on the context and circumstances, breaking these ground rules will result in demotion, or even an immediate and permanent removal from the program.
As you climb the ranks of the NSL, you will gain not only more trust, insight, and knowledge about Nym to empower your contributions, but also more access to resources from the Squad Wealth Fund. Nymjas and Shinobis also participate in making important decisions via governance, therefore your continued contributions, involvement, and up-to-date knowledge about the project is crucial. Here are the requirements of keeping each rank.
To maintain your Nymster rank, you need to be active on Nym community channels from time to time, participate in Nym events such as community calls and quizzes, and collect at least 500 NSL points. Fully inactive members will be pruned at the end of each season.
Nymjas are the first circle of the Nym core community. NSL is a framework built around contributions and involvement, and Nymjas have access to community grants as well. Contributions can take many forms, including:
